Menopause Research Panel For research relating to infertility and menopause.
Researchers at the University of Melbourne and the Royal Women’s Hospital are assembling a Menopause Research Panel consisting of peri-menopausal and post-menopausal women who are interested in contributing to future research on menopause.
You can join the panel irrespective of whether you are experiencing menopausal symptoms naturally, due to surgery, cancer treatment or another reason.
Panel members will be contacted periodically with opportunities to contribute to research. This may include providing feedback at the design and development phases of a research study or being invited to participate in a research study related to menopause.
Signing up to the Menopause Research Panel is free and will only take a few minutes. Please click here to learn more and sign up: https://go.unimelb.edu.au/agk8
If you know anyone else that may be interested in being part of the panel, please share this information with them also.
(In)fertility Research Panel
About the Panel The (In)fertility Research Panel is a group of people with experience of infertility or fertility treatments, who are available to help with research projects in this area. Research should be designed and carried out with involvement from people who have lived experience of the conditions or healthcare interventions being studied. We have established an (In)fertility Research Panel (the Panel). This Panel consists of people with experience of infertility or fertility treatments, who are available to contribute to research projects. This includes having input into the design or development of a research project, or being involved in a research project as a participant. People on the panel may be contacted periodically by email with opportunities to help with research projects, or to participate in research. Panel members will then have an opportunity to read more about the specific project, ask questions, and then decide whether to take part. There is no obligation to take part in any specific project.
Who can participate? We are looking for a broad range of people to join the Panel. To be eligible you will have experienced infertility and/or fertility treatment and live in Australia. Fertility treatment includes intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilisation (IVF, including ICSI) and egg-freezing for either medical or elective (social) reasons. Experience of infertility usually means you have had difficulty getting pregnant, and you have attended at least one visit at a fertility clinic. Both men and women can join. Read more about the Panel in our Research Panel Information Sheet.
The In(fertility) Research Panel is maintained by the University of Melbourne. Dr Sarah Lensen is the lead researcher. For more information about the Panel, or if you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]
